So You Wanna Get Clients Now!

Friday, November 12th, 2010

How many times do you sit wondering, “Where are all the customers?” You knocked on all the doors, sent out direct mail, have a ton of business cards, and yet you still don’t have a lick of business.

Perhaps the reason is you don’t have:

a. a system to do your marketing

b. the accountability you need to be consistent.

Join the club. There are countless entrepreneurs and small business owners who suffer the same fate. However, few of them have read this blog.

What you need is a business buddy. Someone to keep you accountable. However, most other business buddies are in the same boat you’re in. That’s where having a systemized peer-group session can be your most valueable marketing asset.

If you want to learn more about how to Get Clients Now, give us a call or send an email. We’d love to share you some of the secrets of getting more clients and to keeping you on the path to success!

About

Monday, July 12th, 2010

I practiced law for more than 26 years, and was fortunate to have been able to retire.  My undergraduate degree was in Marketing and I was in an MBA Marketing Program before my rich Uncle decided to send me on a year long vacation to Viet Nam. When I returned, I decided to go to Law School instead of finishing an MBA, but I have always had a love of marketing. I only wish I had taken the time to really learn how to market a law practice back when I was practicing, as I would have been able to retire years earlier.  After retiring, and becoming very bored, I began to read and read and study marketing, especially as it relates to professional practices.

I don’t pretend to know it all, and to be truthful I have learned that there is so much more to be learned. However, what I would like to do over the coming weeks is to share some of the things of have learned about marketing and  getting clients, with the hope that you will be able to use some of this information in your practice.

Over the course of the years, I have kept notes on ideas I have heard, ideas I have put into practice and some new ideas that I continue to read about.  In most cases, I never considered writing the source of these ideas, because quite frankly it never crossed my mind that I would be writing about these. To that end, if I put forth an idea or thought and I know the source, I certainly will make that known; however, if I mention and idea or thought and you know who that should be attributable to, then please let me know and I will be sure to give the proper credit.

Also I do not pretend to know all there is about bringing in Clients and along the way if you have any thoughts or suggestions, I will surely consider these and pass them onto the readers. Again, I would be more than happy to give you credit for any thoughts or suggestions that I use here.

I will be updating this on Tuesdays and Fridays of each week and I hope that what I write will benefit you in your practice. I will keep them short and sometimes they may even be funny, yes, marketing can be fun, but most of all I hope that you will be able to turn these thoughts, hints or whatever they might be into ways build you practice.

I would also encourage your comments and again if you have any thoughts or suggestions on getting clients, please feel free to add them.
